Al Monitor- The day before the US presidential election, Israeli leaders held a “special prayer service” for Trump to win. The chosen place was the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron- one of the holiest sites in Judaism.

They plead God for the victory of a man who showed support for Israel more than any other previous US president.

Yochai Damari, head of the Mount Hebron Regional Council, now has to accept the fact that the new White house president tends to bring the Palestinians and Israelis back to the negotiating table. Therefore, halting the settlement plan in the West Bank, or even worse, evacuate existing Israeli settlements. After announcing Biden’s victory, Damari stated, “Let’s see who is happy today, and who is less than happy. If Iran is happy, we have something to worry about,” as Al monitor report read.

Damari claims that the real problem is in Biden’s team rather than Biden the president-elect. He stated, “What worries us most is not the president-elect, but the team surrounding him, especially the vice president-elect,” for that he is bothered by Harris statements in planning to bring  the Palestinian delegation back to Washington and halt construction in the West bank.
